Nick Barbuto leads the Ignition Factory team in Canada and is responsible for understanding and sourcing the latest and greatest in science and technology to help solve client challenges at OMD.
Barbuto has worked in digital media since 2000. Before joining OMD in 2014, he led the digital media practice at Cossette Media in Toronto where he produced work for clients such as Nike, Coca-Cola, General Mills and Telus.
In his spare time, he can be found geeking out over technology. From home automation to micro computing, Barbuto’s passion for tech runs as deep as it does broad. To complement his passion for niche topics, Barbuto started online communities for his interests in the mid 2000’s. The largest of his communities (4.2 million unique users a month) was recently sold to one of the largest names in the online space.
