With more than 20 years of experience in communications, brand marketing, digital strategy and e-commerce, Sébastien Viau is a widely recognized expert in the tourism and marketing industries.
Known for his natural instinct in developing innovative solutions, both digital and traditional, and for proven outcomes, since 2016 he has been Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, with the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec. As an expert strategist, he was a key participant in establishing the 2017–2020 marketing plan for leisure tourism in the province and, through his day-to-day work, actively shapes Québec as a world-class sustainable destination.
From the outset of his work with the Alliance, he has developed a unique vision and marketing strategy for Québec as a destination. Thanks to his capacity for innovation, among other qualities, he was able to rally the province’s industry around this strategic vision in order to enhance the effectiveness, coordination and alignment of the industry. He worked assiduously with collaborative industry work groups to shift the marketing approach to a consumer-centric one and, in so doing, delivered on ambitious objectives.
